Atlas Group is currently hiring a Gas Pipeline Distribution Foreman to work in WV. The Foreman will oversee the daily activities of their crews and work towards goal achievement. Responsibilities include guiding the crew, planning and delegating daily work activities, identifying and solving potential problems, enforcing company policies and safety procedures, and interacting with customers. The Foreman must ensure compliance with safety rules and regulations for the crew and the public.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Guide the crew towards goal achievement.
  • Plan, organize, and delegate daily work activities among crew members.
  • Identify potential problems; develop and implement solutions.
  • Enforce Company policies and standard work procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with safety rules and regulations.
  • Coach, train, and evaluate employees’ work performance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair minor equipment problems.
  • Ensure preventive maintenance of equipment is assigned to and completed by the crew.
  • Interact with customers to explain work procedures necessary at the worksite/residence.
  • Handle minor customer complaints and inquiries. Escalate issues to the superintendent or general foreman if necessary.
  • Complete project paperwork as required by the customer.
  • Oversee and maintain accurate timekeeping records for the crew.
  • Verify the correctness of time sheets and ensure timely submission to the appropriate department.
  • Take responsibility for handling daily paperwork required by the customer, ensuring accuracy and prompt submission.

Work Schedule:

  • Typically, Monday to Friday with 10-12 hour workdays (Weather Dependent).
  • Occasional work on Saturdays may be required.
  • Occasional travel is required; we prioritize staying as close to ‘Home’ as possible, but flexibility is essential as we must go where the work is
  • No work on Sundays.
  • No work on most calendared holidays.

Required Qualifications:

  • 1+ years underground utility gas construction experience.
  • High level of personal integrity and accountability.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and a DOT physical or ability to obtain one upon employment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must pass computer-based testing, specific to the local Customer’s operator qualification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of gas construction experience.
  • Class A CDL preferred.
